Recommended (Image credit: &copy Future) TechRadar Verdict Google's Pixel 11 Pro feels a lot like last year's Pixel 10 Pro, only slightly more refined and with new software features that improve the overall experience. It's not a must-have for recent Pixel owners, but it makes for an intriguing upgrade and will be, in some ways, enticing to potential iPhone converts.

What changed

It's not a must-have for recent Pixel owners, but it makes for an intriguing upgrade and will be, in some ways, enticing to potential iPhone converts. This is still a developing thread, so the useful part is knowing which source signals are hardening and which ones still need caution. With devices, practical impact usually shows up in battery life, heat, stability, and long-term usability rather than in a few flashy headline numbers.

Price and bundle value

Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you're buying the best. Find out more about how we test. With devices, practical impact usually shows up in battery life, heat, stability, and long-term usability rather than in a few flashy headline numbers. The readers who should care most are the ones planning to replace a device, buy an accessory, or upgrade a work setup in the next few months.

AI features that change the value

Inside the phone is a new Tensor G6 processor, and either 12GB or 16GB of memory. Performance during daily tasks and gaming isn't an issue, despite what Pixel naysayers may like to claim. That smaller RAM allotment is reserved for the entry-level 256GB option, while more storage means more memory for both the 512GB and 1TB models. Google didn't double the storage for nothing, however, as the 256GB model keeps its predecessor's 256GB price, effectively hiking the base cost of the Pixel 11 Pro by $100 / &pound 80 / AU$150.

Who should pay attention

The cameras are mostly the same as those on the 10 Pro, but with some new software features that are mostly good. The new Camera Looks lets you tailor the 11 Pro's camera performance to your liking and makes it easy to switch between different settings on the fly. Magic Capture, meanwhile, makes it super easy to capture both photos and video of special moments. The new 120x Pro Zoom feature is cool, but only in limited situations we're still trying to figure out exactly what those are.

Patrick Tech Media take

Patrick Tech Media reads this kind of move as a real utility race: the package that removes steps, bundles tools, and lowers hidden cost usually wins longer than the launch buzz. Patrick Tech Media will keep checking TechRadar to see whether the value holds once the rollout broadens. That is why the useful reading move is not to stop at the headline, but to compare the promise, the workflow change, and the likely cost before deciding anything.
