Corrections Policy

When a story state changes or new confirmation appears, the article may be updated, downgraded, or stripped of ad eligibility.

State Updates

Trend stories may be upgraded to emerging or verified. If the signal weakens, the story can also be downgraded.

Major changes should be logged near the end of the article with a timestamp and reason.
